At what age did you move your toddler from their crib to a toddler bed?

i shamelessly admit that my daughter will be 2 in less than 30 days & she just recently started sleeping by herself a couple months ago. she wouldn't go straight from my bed (yes, being a single mom she slept with me :)) to her crib. we had to start with baby steps (ha...no pun intended) with something familiar, her playpen, to sleep in alone in her room first. now that she's comfortable being in her room sleeping by herself (YAAAY!) it's time to bump her up to the the next step...drum roll please :D...the big bed...theee criiib. HOWEVER, once i had put her in the crib for a minute or two, i'm doing my thing & when i look up there she was, just chillin, standing there with her foot slung over the front of the crib like it was the happenin thing to do. of course i see the worst...her tumbling out of the crib & busting face. while discussing this with my sister, she reminded me she's actually seen parker climb out of the crib at her house but a miracle had happened that day & there was no somersault out onto the floor & no hurt parker. that occurrence happened some months ago so of course in my head she's been plotting & practicing & she's become a master of acrobatics when it comes to the great escape of the crib by now. ha...not really but i'm still scared. so here the big day has come...dun nu nu nuh...the dilemma: considering she's 2, & i'm deathly afraid of her thinking she can fly & not plummet to the floor once out of the crib, isn't it time for her to have a toddler bed on the floor rather than a crib to sleep in anyway? what do y'all think? what did you mommies do?
